COUNSELLING, SUPPORT AND ADVICE SERVICES
Beyond Blue provides support to persons suffering from depression or anxiety. They have a 24 hour 7 days a week phone service available.
Centacare offers a wide variety of services including counselling, family dispute resolution (including mediation) and domestic and family violence services.
Family Relationships Online provides people with access to information about family relationship issues. They also provide families with information about services they can use to assist them to manage relationship issues including agreeing on arrangements for children upon parents seperating. There is a Family Relationships advice line where you can seek advice about relationship or separation issues.
Lifeline provide support to persons who are suffering from such things as a personal crisis, suicidal thoughts or attempts, anxiety, depression, loneliness, abuse and trauma, stresses from work, family or society.
Relationships Australia Queensland provides a number of counselling and support services.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
1800 Respect is a national sexual assault, domestic and family violence counselling service that provide support 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
DV Connect offer a 24 hour, 7 days a week telephone service to assist persons who have been effected by domestic or family violence. DV connect can provide emergency transport and accommodation if necessary; assist in developing a safety plan for victims; provide advice and referrals to a women’s refuge.
